"We were a family party of 10 adults and the house was fantastic for our holiday needs. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax both inside and out. The weather was fantastic so we spent a lot of time sat on the patio and using the hot tub and pool & enjoying the fantastic view. We ate in most nights and the kitchen facilities and equipment were excellent. The cinema room was brilliant although we only used it a few times mainly for watching sport on the TV and we also got lots of use out of the excellent sound system in the kitchen / dining / lounge area.

All the bedrooms were very spacious, plenty of rooms for clothes and all the bathrooms / en-suites were well equipped, loved the TVs in the bathrooms."

"The property is kitted out to an exceptional high standard. Kitchen, has everything in duplicate or more and is all excellent quality. Games/cinema room, has all modern gadgets that cater for all ages. Bedrooms, excellent beds and all bar one are extremely spacious. Living room, spacious with comfortable seating. Patio, plenty of seating with fantastic vistas of the Torridge and Bideford. This is the best property that we have had a family holiday in.

The owners are extremely diligent in their efforts to maximise the comfort and enjoyment of all who stay in Copperfield."

"We were a family party of 14 celebrating my fathers 80th birthday. Everything about Copperfield was perfect. Beautiful views, cleanliness, comfortable beds, hot tub, spacious rooms, the list is endless. We held a fancy dress murder mystery night on the Saturday evening and the kitchen/lounge area was perfect. The cinema room was well used by all the family. I could not recommend this house enough and would most definitely return. Thank you Copperfield for providing the perfect location for our celebratory weekend."

"Our 3rd visit to Copperfield, this time to celebrate our golden wedding. As before, a beautifully equipped and gorgeously warm house with a lovely atmosphere. It suited all ages, the teenagers loved the media room and the hot tub (even though the air temperature was only 9 deg.!) the hot tub was hot! Us "oldies" loved the comfy beds and the beautiful views across the river, and even though the weather was truly awful it didn't stop us walking to Instow along the Tarka trail, very bracing! We'll be back!"

"A deceptively large house that is perfect to accommodate a multi generational holiday. Very good facilities for both young children and the older generation. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are well specked with TVs, feather duvets and pillows, DVD players, Sky and generous sized bathrooms. The hot tub is is an added bonus and the pool would be well used in the summer months. The owner and caretaker are both very approachable and I would definitely recommend a stay at the Copperfield house. We plan to return again next year."

“Just a quick note to say how much we all enjoyed our stay at Copperfield. Some of us even managed to read all the house notes by the end of the week!

Although we ended up being a smaller party than planned (due to C19), we still had a blast. The house was fabulously equipped, we could not use all those wine glasses in one night, and believe me we tried!

Great location, biking on the Tarka Trail to Instow, walking to Westward Ho! And the rest. Fantastic views throughout the day and night from the house and treated to some wild falconry antics as well.
